Cannot validate ATI 2015 backup disk image

Thread needs solution

Hi all - I'm John - the computer tech for my client Bernie. He has a new Dell Inspiron laptop, running Win 7. We installed ATI 2015, full version, bought and paid for. Then we created an ATI disk image on an external hard drive, also no problem.

However, when we try and >validate< that image, there is no option to do so(!) We've looked in the ATI program itself, and also right-clicked on the disk image we created. Nowhere is the option to 'validate disk image' as there was in earlier veersions of ATI. What are we missing?

When we right-click on the disk image, there >is< a 'validate' option, but clicking it does not permit us to validate the existing disk image. Instead, it offers the followiyyyyng options:
Clone Disk / Rescue Media Builder / Universal Restore / Parallels / More Tools
Looking under 'More Tools' does not permit validation either.

Earlier versions of ATI were very easy to use for validation - why is 2015 so opaque, and what do we need to do, to validate the backup disk image?

Please reply to both Bernie (bpearlman@earthlink.net), and myself - John (jhecht@ix.netcom.com). Thanks in advance!

Additional info - we are on the latest/greatest version of Acronis TIB, as per the notice to upgrade - so don't ask us - been there, done that (grin).

Using 2015 to validate.
1. There are settable options in the disk backup options so that validation will occur as part of the backup process.

2. To validate an existing backup:
Select the task which created the backup.
Click the operations tab along the lower left.
Click validate.

3. From within Windows Explorer
Right click on the tib file which is to be validated
Click the TrueImage listing option
Click the Validate link from the TI option listing
