Can't Install After Downloading 2014 Upgrade

Thread needs solution

I just paid to upgrade to 2014. I saved the key code and downloaded the 280 Mb installation file to an external drive I use for data and things I don't want to lose if I get a virus. When I click on the setup file I get:

Windows cannot find
'C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\3F14C56-3EE6-4859-B9F8-A3A41C8E1DCC\atih_installer_shell_standard.exe'

And I can't get a hold of anyone to figure out what this means.

I haven't downloaded the 2014 version yet but the 2013 was a compressed file that could be opened and extracted manually for example by 7zip, you're likely to have less problems by doing so and then launching the big msi file that is probably inside

I'm sorry I hope no one tried that, if you launch the msi it appears to install correctly but then it doesn't accept the serial number and doesn't work.
You can install the program by first decompressing it (at least it seems to work with me), but you have to launch the installation with the atih_installer_shell_standard.exe file, not the msi.

I'd try, deleting temp files, reboot, copy installer to system drive, then run the installer.

I ask your help. I had Acronis 2014 trial Home. I have made backup copies of the disk. Later I have understood that the new program will not work. I have decided to clean it and wanted to install the old version, but from the program of 2014 there were what files which I cannot clean manually. Please help me it completely uninstall.

There is an Acronis Cleaner program that will remove 2014 for you, I don't have the link to hand on this PC and will post it for you whenI get home.

In the meantime search the knowledge base for Acronis Cleaner 2014.

Here is link to TI cleaning utiliy listed inside my signature below. Link #4 below.
