Can't Recover TIB files from 2012 version

Thread needs solution

Hi -- First post on this forum. I had a hard drive failure and I have purchased a new computer as well as am using Windows 8.1. I created back in 2014 from ATI version 2012 two TIB files which are currently sitting on an external hard drive.

When I view them, I only see the two TIB files. But I purchased a new version of ATI 2015 because the advertising said that I could restore my folders and files individually. I installed it correctly but there is an information (I) sign that says I can only restore data files from the backups. This is different from what they advertised. The software lets me select what I want to restore as well as pick an alternate location to restore to, but when I hit restore it just stops.

I desperately need to recover my documents, music, exe files and pictures. I feel like a fish out of water.

My pictures contain the only images of my parents and my late twin brother.

My financial passwords and other logons are all out there as well.

Any help will be appreciated.

George

Why have a full system backup out there if you can't restore from it. If I could expand the TIB files and iuncompress them, I could manually move the bfdata over to my new computer

Is there any kind of other software out there that will restore from TIB files?

Try double clicking the TIB file in windows explorer to access your files.

George,

Could you post some screen shots of what you are seeing please?

I'm a little confused, how many tib files should 2015 be seeing?

As you are only restoring files rather than an OS it should be working in Windows, but if you boot from the recovery media, are you then able to recover your files?

Did you make a complete disk/partition image or was it a files and folders backup that you are trying to recover parts of?

Here is a screen shot of mine, right clicking on a archive file on a NAS using explorer then activating the 'mount' feature
