Can't see USB 3.0 HDD when booted from USB flash drive?

I have a laptop with two internal SSD's that I want to back up "off line". I have created a USB boot media and can boot TrueImage from it. In addition to the USB flash drive, I have also connected a 500GB USB 3.0 HDD in an external enclosure, I want to backup my boot SSD to it, but TrueImage doesn't see it. Any suggestions?

So I removed the HDD from the USB 3.0 enclosure and put it in a USB 2.0 enclosure, and now TrueImage sees it! Are you kidding me ... no USB 3.0 support in TrueImage recovery media? So what's the point being able to do a backup to an external device from the desktop if I can't restore it with the recovery media? I can feel a demand for a refund in my future!
