Clone OS from partition without Data files
Hi,
(Referring to True Image 2012)
Can someone help me work out the best way to do this please.
I have a dual boot system.
2 OS on the same drive on 2 partitions.
I want to move the 2nd OS (from the 2nd partition) to an external esata SSD drive.
I have also been using the 2nd partition as a bit of a dumping ground for data and I don't want this copied across, only the OS.
I have Acronis installed on the first partition and that is where I am trying to action this from.
All help appreciated.
Thanks.

Thanks for that.
I've had Acronis as a precaution and luckily I haven't actually had to use use it to restore anything yet.
I know that if I clone an OS it literally clones it and will just boot, if I do it this way will I have to save the backup to a third location and then restore it to the new drive?
Can I restore a system from a backup to another drive while logged into my main OS?!
Thanks again.

You would have to back up to a third location, as you can not use excludes during a clone.
You should be able to do a restore from an existing backup image to an additional drive while running True Image in Windows, but I would recommend using the bootable Rescue Media for all disk/partition restores/recovery.
