Cloning A Backup Job Disabled The Protection Password

Thread needs solution

Hello Everyone,

I just purchased Acronis True Image 2015 and now regret the purchase for several reasons, but right now the main reason is, I cannot clone backup jobs that have a password and have the cloned job have a password at all!

So I had a backup policy running to a local disk, but wanted to clone one to a disk I will keep offsite. When you clone a backup, it removes the Password Protection field all together.

This seems like bad programming to me. You can't use the clone option if you want a password on the backup. That seems ridiculous.

My other main gripe with the software is the way too over-simplified GUI where I can't drill down on folders with long paths since the font is like 24 pt and has a terribly hard to follow interface to it.

Thank You,
Adam

Hello Adam,

it looks like a designed behavior because password can be set only during backup plan creation and cannot be changed/added later.

However, I see your point and your feedback will be forwarded to development.

Thank you.
