Cloning to a partition on another drive

Thread needs solution

Hello! I'm wondering if someone might be able to help me figure this one out. Here are some essentials to start with:

Acronis True Image 2014

Windows 10

SSD - 240gb - C:

3.5" HD - 1tb - Split into G: (for files like photos, music etc) and H: (used to be C:)

There's also a random System Reserved F: in one of the drives which is about 1gb.

I've been having some issues with my newly built PC and I want to rule out my SSD as being the problem, so I need to somehow move C: back onto my mechanical hd without messing up the files that are already on it.  There's about 330gb worth of files there, and I have 124gb on C: currently.

Thanks!

Liam, welcome to these user forums.

Please be aware that ATIH 2014 is not officially supported for use with Windows 10 - only 2015 or later is supported.

I would suggest an alternative approach to ruling out your SSD rather than trying to put Windows 10 back onto your H: partition of our HDD.

If you have a spare SSD or HDD of suitable size, then try cloning the SSD to that spare drive so that you can test with the minimum risk to either of your current drives.
