Cloning process freezes at "Starting Acronis Loader ..."

Thread needs solution

Just upgraded to TI 2013 and am trying to clone a 1TB HDD to a 120GB SSD. I've done this before with TI 2012 and it works fine as long as there's less than 120GB of data on the HDD.

The 1TB HDD is (presently) my boot drive.

Today the clone process reboots the computer, I see Windows' "Loading Operating System ..." followed by TI 2013's "Starting Acronis Loader ..." and then the system just freezes.

Is there a log file I can access? I don't even know where to start troubleshooting?

To properly clone the drive, you should boot to the Acronis Rescue Media. If both drives are connected to your system internally, place the SSD on the connector that presently has your boot drive on it, and move the boot drive to a another connector. Then perform the clone. After the clone operation is finished, remove your old boot drive, then start the computer to verify normal operation. If everything looks good, shut down the system and reconnect your old drive and reboot.
Please take a look at this comment posted by Pat L concerning SSD's and "tweaking" them at the bottom of his post. http://forum.acronis.com/forum/34509#comment-106890
