Cloud not working, how do I stop using it?

I installed the ATI 2014 trial yesterday. I made 5 backups including image of C: .OK, I then decided to use the Cloud. It asked me to logi n but that failed due to ''Cannot determine Synch Agent service state'. Rebooting four times made no difference. After a lot of faffing about I did a 'repair instal' and checked again in servies.msc and this time I saw the Sync Agent, which wasn't there before. I copied a folder to the Cloud, all OK. I then rebooted and when I tried to get back into my Cloud account I got the same message as above, no access!

I have no intention of doing a repair instal whanever I want to use the Cloud, what I now want to do is stop using the thing and just use my backup disk, as the Cloud seems to be flawed from what I have read. I have a number of backups made with 2011 which I now discover is no longer supported so I need to stick with Acronis TI 2014.

So, I unlinked my system from Cloud in my account but I'm still asked to login, which fails, which means I can't even get into the 'normal' ATI usage.

Would someone please tell me how I can get to just using my backup disk and not the Cloud?
