Connection Failed error connecting to ReadyNas shares

Thread needs solution

I've just got True Image Home 2010, running latest build 5.055. I want to back up a desktop PC (running Windows XP) to my Netgear ReadyNas Duo. I have a backup share defined on the ReadyNas, which are accessed using CIFS, and can map the network drive on the desktop PC with no problems - I use the admin user on the ReadyNas to access the share.
When I try and configure this in True Image 2010 I can see the ReadyNas share, but when I put in the admin user to the authentication settings screen it always comes up with the following message "Connection Failed. Please verify user name and password".
I know the user name and password I am using are correct, so am slightly at a loss as to what I may be doing wrong. From the manual it seems that I am doing this correctly, but I'm new to the software so am open to being told I'm doing something stupid :-)

Hello DrProng,

Thank you for using Acronis Products

Make sure the user account on the NAS, under which you are trying to backup to it, belongs to the Administrator group. The Administrator group should also belong to READ/WRITE group. Set backup archive splitting to 2 Gb:

1. Click "Tools" and select "Options";

2. Click "Archive splitting" and set the size to 2 GB.
