Consolidation not working, never has since I first purchased True Image 2009

I purchased the full version of Acronis True Image Home 2009 in August 2009 and got a free upgrade to the 2010 version which came out immediately afterwards.

Neither version has been able to work with the consolidation feature turned on: I backup internal drive C: to internal drive D:, and backups are set to consolidate before D fills up. D always fills up eventually and subsequent backups fail. The only cure has been for me to delete all backups and start again until D fills up again.

I have tried remedies recommended in these forums to no avail.

I have read here that some consolidation problems may be fixed in the 2011 version. But I ask: the product has never worked as specified since I purchased it, and now I have to pay for another upgrade?

I am posting here because there seems to be no other way to contact support with my problem.
