Corrupt Windows files in Backup

Thread needs solution

I created a Windows 10 full system backup with True Image 2014. Prior to performing the backup, I cleaned my drive, defragged it, ran CHKDSK, and performed Windows system file checker, which showed no errors - then ran the backup.
When I recently ran "sfc" again on my system, errors where noted which could not be repaired.
I then restored my system from the above mentioned backup which now shows the same Windows errors when "sfc" is run.
How can that be when no errors existed at the time of the backup?
Thanks

Bryan, I would suspect that you may have a problem with your disk drive rather than with ATI making a backup.  ATI has to read all the files from your disk and will store what it reads in the backup archive, so if the files restored from the backup are deemed to be corrupt, then that is how they were read from disk.

I would suggest doing a CHKDSK /R to check for bad sectors on your OS drive or using any diagnostic tools provide by the drive maker to do a full surface check etc.

Thanks for your reply. I did a CHKDSK /R prior to performing the backup. That's why I don't understand Windows telling me that there are corrupt system files.
