Create bootable Media

Thread needs solution

I have Acronis True Image Home 2011 on Windows, 64bit, Dell 8300.
I put in a CD. Then I click on Create Bootable Media. I click Proceed to Start.

An error message pops up:
The Device is busy(0X40010)

I don't see anything using the DVD drive.

What can I do?

Thanks,

Try to leave the tray of the DVD/VD writer open before you launch the media builder. I think it should close it down and that might solve it.

Otherwise, you can:
- try to create a bootable USB flash drive,
- download the bootable ISO image from your Acronis account. This will be available in your product download area after you register your software license. You can then burn *as an ISO* this to your CD using your favorite image burner.

Also it would be an idea not to post the same question god knows how many times!!

Posting it more than once is as bad as posting in CAPITALS and is a sure fire way to get peoples back up!!

It also doesnt mean the more time you post the better the chance that your post will be answered.

I get this same error message with the latest version that I downloaded 3 days ago. I was able to create a bootable CD with the 30d trial version, but after paying for and entering the full activation Key, I now get this same "device is busy" message. Computer is Dell M1330 with Win 7 (32 bit) and slot drive for CD. Have tried rebooting, loading only Acronis with new CD put in before or after starting Acronis. When I entered the activation Key, activation proceeded with no problem and I got message that program was fully functional. I guess I will retry installing entire program and activating directly with paid Key. I was not able to create a bootable USB thumb drive on my system even before full activation. Any other suggestions welcome.
