"Create a new full backup after ...." not really working
My observations show that the feature as in subject of this thread
does not work at all if to take ATI 2009 Home.
I like to ask if this bug is fixed in ATI current version.
I like to also ask if it was a known bug in 2009 Home.
Below more details about how to reproduce it.
A task was defined a long time ago.
"Create a new full backup after ...." is enabled and set to 7.
"Remove old archives" is not selected.
Since task creation the backup process based on this task
was conducted several times on regular basis, once a month.
So, till today over all 17 backups in the chain have been produced.
All these are differentials - except the most first one - yeah, the user ordered
in the task differentials, not incrementals.
Only the first one is full backup. So the option as above does not seem
to had worked any single time, although enabled since beginning.

Sorry, I didn't got.

That's not the purpose of the feature being in discussion.
Even if to take the current version of ATI.
If it is Acronis approach to the problem I am very happy leaving the windows+ATI domain!!!!
It is not the first time one has to encounter so low service quality.

Chrizio,
I am just saying that users see this problem often when they tweak their retention settings on an existing task. For example, if you set the task at 10 incrementals after the first full, and you change it to 5 incrementals after the backup number 6, you will get 11 incrementals, then a full then your 5 incrementals...
At any rate, it is better to try a new task.
