Creating ATI 10 Home Complete Disk Image takes "DAYS"!

Thread needs solution

True Image Home 10.0 and Windows XP.
Started creating Disk 1 entire image at 9 PM last night. Let system run through the night. As of this morning, 5% complete and 6 more days to go! Downloaded and installed Build 4,942. Still no luck. Have been successfully and flawlessly creating complete disk images and restoring for a few years now. Use two WD 250 GB drives, with images of Disk 1 stored on Disk 2. I only have 25 GB total on Disk 1. Same problem when booting and imaging with the True Image CD. Anyone have any ideas? Is it time to upgrade to ATI 2010? I like the program.

If disk 2 is a usb type, the port may be a usb 1 and not usb 2 type. If you are sure that it is a usb 2, then when True Image detects something wrong with the drive the process drops to usb 1 speeds.

Try running chkdsk /r on both drives.

Disk 1 and Disk 2 are both internal SATA hard drives. Previously ran CHKDSK /r. Still have the problem. I can make a backup of My Documents folder, but I can't make an image of the entire Disk 1, which I prefer to do.
