Creating image and deploying where a system reserved partition exists?

Thread needs solution

Hi,
I'm very new to this but had been asked to create an image of a spindle HD and restore it to a SSD (both Sata; Windows 7).

So when deploying, I select the single tib file but it shows both partitions as separate volumes-- C: and D:. I don't really want a new C: and D:--just a new C: with both partitions. So anyway, I did the restore to the SSD, and it upon bootup its says Missing Operating System.

(When I created the image of the spindle HD, there were two partitions shown--the tiny 100Mb System Reserved, and then the main OS/Data partition (~500MB).)

Can anyone give me the simple, nickel tour of how to correctly image/restore this (I assume fairly common) situation? I think I'm getting hung up on the two partitions and how they're listed with drive letters, and I'm somehow, likely mistakenly, restoring them to two new volumes on the SSD instead of a single volume with two partitions.
Thanks,
Jim
