Custom 1-Click backups

Thread needs solution

You've all seen the 1-Click backup shortcut that launches True Image and then starts the 1-Click backup task.

What I'd like to do is be able to create my own shortcut that does the same thing but starts a task of my choosing.

Is this possible and if so, how would I go about doing it?

Thanks!

You can create a task (scheduled or non-scheduled) and then run that task from either a desktop shortcut or the Windows task scheduler or from inside the TrueImage tasks menu.

Click on my signature index below and look at both listings under item 7-J

However, be aware that the first backup MUST occur from within the TrueImage program either via a scheduled time or manually use the start option. After the first backup occurs, then you can run your shortcuts or a batch file with a combination of shortcuts. If you do not run the first backup from within the TI program, then the backups will occur but each backup will overwrite the last and you will never have incremental or multiple copies, etc. Running the first backup from within the program causes the backup option to switch from create a new full backup to a revised "add to existing" option. Thus, allowing for the creating of incremental or multiple copies.

I'm glad you found the index contents helpful. It offers references on a variety of TrueImage topics.
