Daily backup ran out of space then corrupted ALL the backups
My Win 8.1 Acronis 2014 Daily backup (custom, inc, full then 5 inc, limit space to 150G of 200, if error option= remove oldest backup) ran out of space I think which would not be too bad. However, it then proceeded to corrupt the whole string of 40 or so backups so that nothing was readable in the ASZ. I had to delete and re-create the ASZ. So not only did the space limit fail (150 of 200G, a full bkup takes about 21G) but the error correction option to delete the oldest backup didn't work either. below is the exact error I received with many lines of jiberish cut off. The real dangerous part here is the destroying of the existing, just fine backups--not the failure of the single, latest backup.
This isn't the first time Acronis 2014 has done something like this. Several weeks ago a backup was destroyed by Acronis doing backup "A" just because a removable esata drive for a completely unrelated backup "B" was not available. Of course it is sometimes unavailable, that's why it's called a removable drive. I callled Acronis to report this as a bug but they were not interested, they said I would have buy some support since I was over the 30 day limit.
As a backup user, I want to know that after a backup is verified as being good, it will STAY GOOD until I need it, providing the hardware is not physically damaged. This is now twice in the last several weeks where Acronis has not provided this assurance since they have twice destroyed good backups. I used the old 2007 Acronis 6 years with no such problems.

I have the same problem, and same error messages, with TI today for no apparent reason. I am using Win 8.1, first full backup, then 6 incremental, with elimination of oldest. There is plenty of room on the external backup drive, and this backup version has been running fine for several weeks. Nothing has changed on my computer. I did not find the reply to be helpful, or probable.

Please post a screen capture of your backup scheme plus a picture of your storage folder showing the tib files sorted in date/time order.
Has the backup task been edited or changed since the task was first created?
