Defragmenting Backup Drive

I backup my C drive to two external drives and one internal drive. The backups are in separate folders and contain differential backups I have other data stored on these drives and do not use Acoronis Secure Zone. Is it safe to defragment thses drives or will it damage the differential backups.

in all normal defrag activity, no damge will result to your backup .tib files.
