delete partition only

Hi

I want to just delete partitions with acronis home image, it seems i need to go to drive cleanser and select one of the algorithm and choose delete partition as post operations, is there a way i just want to delete partition or format partition. I don want the lengthy and tedious cleaning process.

If the partition isn't too large the Fast wipe method is pretty quick.

You could use Windows Disk Management to delete the partition. Otherwise, a partitioning program (like DD) could be used (there are also many free ones out there).

I think this is a very bad part about A True Image. Nowadays harddisk could easily reach TB, so the Fast wipe is actually very slow, too slow to be used in fact. I know i can use many freeware to do what i want, but this become very trouble some, as i need to hold multiple software on different medium, changing the medium and reboot each time i need to delete partition., and then change to ATI and boot again.

Acronis sells DD for partitioning. I doubt they want to add more partitioning features to TI.

What are you trying to do? Are you restoring to the drive after the partition is deleted? If so, why not just restore over it? If you want to delete ALL the partitions you can use the Add new disk feature and create the new partition(s).
