Deleted Backups in Windows - Explore All Backups Hangs

When I select "Explore All Backups", a box opens, my CPU is very busy, but nothing happens for a long time (like 20+ minutes).

I didn't know that I was supposed to use Acronis to delete older backups when my disk ran out of space. I have been using a custom, differential backup scheme for data.

I can validate the backups on my external drive. I was able to restore a disk backup. A file-level backup appears to be working right now.

However, I do not know how to clean up Acronis' database for the backup files on my external hard drive. If I click the gear next to a specific backup on the Backup & Recovery screen, there is a delete button. When I click that delete button, there is a warning about deleting all versions of that backup.

Any help in figuring out how to clean this up would be greatly appreciated.

One thought that occurred to me was to uninstall and re-install Acronis. Is that the only solution?
