Disk is Full
I have Acronis Backup 2009 software.
I am getting a message that "disk is full." When i searched this website on how to fix it, it says to change the retention settings. I cannot find them on my software. Where do i go for the 2009 settings?
and, is that the fastest way to make room on my disk to continue to backup?
thanks
Gregory

ATI will always complete a new full backup before deleting anything, not after. If you have a chain of incrementals that almost fills up your disk, you will need enough space for a new full backup before ATI deletes the previous chain.
You might just be facing that case where you don't enough space to do a new full, and therefore ATI cannot delete previous backups. You still have the possibility of simply deleting entire chains manually with Windows Explorer.

Thanks Pat. How do I "manually" delete these chains please?

Given the discussion above, I don't think this is your problem but just in case it helps or helps somebody else, if the disk storing your archive is formatted FAT32 and you try to write a file bigger than 4GB to it, you can get a disk full error message even though the disk has lots of available space.

Shooter,
Using Windows Explorer, navigate to your backup disk. You can't do that if you backed up the Acronis Secure Zone. Then delete the TIB files you don't want to keep.
If you backed up to the ASZ, you will have to completely delete the backup task and set up a new task.
