Displaying and restoring Hidden Files/Folders

Hi
i cant find windows users hidden app data folder in either the full back up or the recover files option.
I have seen older versions rely on the settings in windows file explorer to choose weather to show hidden files/folders. But i cant find an option in this version.
I have to option turned on in windows explorer but it makes no diffenrence.
