Does a TI home 2011 image include the MBR?

I can't check the image until Thursday, but I'm wondering whether I can restore the MBR as well as the partition I have imaged. I.E. does every image that is made by TI home include the MBR?

If you backed up the DISK then yes, the MBR is included. If you backed up a partition, no, it's not.

It seems I just discovered the opposite? I could not contain myself and imaged my own C: drive and then booted into the recovery CD-ROM. I could restore the MBR without restoring the partition.
