Drive Notify Opens a TrueImageHomeService.exe window
I’m testing out the free version of Drive Notify. While testing using TI Home 2011 w/pluspack, and Win7/sp1 with the following scenario:
Created a TI backup and added the pre-commands to run Drive Notify, when the TI backup is executed, TI starts, a TrueImageHomeService.exe window opens, and then I get the Drive Notify Message window. The TrueImageHomeService.exe window has no text in it just black bacground. Why am I getting this TrueImageHomeService.exe window? Is there a way to hide it? It does go away if I hit the proceed button. It’s a bit of an annoyance especially if I working on something when the backup kicks off.

GroverH thanks for your response. I believe I've met all your suggestions from above but still have issues. Details below:
--Drive Notify Confiuration/Setup:
My configuration is Win7, Acronis True Image Home 2011 with Plus Pack, Update 3 (build 6942), Drive Notify ver 1.2.4 (free).
Drive Notify is resident in the root directory along with the drvnotify.ini, drvnotify.txt, and drvnotify.log files. The .txt file contains [wd323] as downloaded from Mudcrab. The .txt file has been installed in the root directory of the USB drive. I'm using the downloaded .ini file with the following changes, logfile=1 in hopes of figuring out my problem, and Autocontinue=H:. The drvnotify.exe is executed at startup and is confirmed running in Task Manager Process Window.
--Drive Notify Testing:
As suggested by Mudcrab I have created a shortcut for testing. The shortcut runs Drive Notify as expected with the Drive Notify Window appearing with the proceed button. When the Proceed button is selected window closes.
Next I've created a TI backup and added the pre-commands within TI (via Disk Backup Options button) to run Drive Notify. The cmds used in the selected boxes are as follows:
Command .............. c:\drvnotify\drvnotify.exe
Working Directory.... c:\drvnotify\
Arguments.............. /wait wd320
Next before I start the TI backup I ensure the USB drive is recognized by Win7. This step is required because the Free version doesn't have auto connect.
I initiate the backup by the "Backup Now" button or via Schedule. When the TI backup is executed, TI starts, a TrueImageHomeService.exe window opens, and then I get the Drive Notify Message window with the Proceed button. When I click the proceed button both the TrueImageHomeService.exe window and the Notify Message window close. The TI Backup runs successfully to completion.
--Question 1: A "TrueImageHomeService.exe" window opens. The window looks like a Command Prompt window. The window does not contain any text just the black background. Is there a way to hide/eliminate this window???
--Question 2: In your response above you mention ScanForNewHardware=1 and AutoAbort=0. I could not find these commands in the free downloaded .ini file. Are they in the paid version?? If not how do I found out about these and other commands not listed in the Drive Notify Help Document???
--Question 3: In my testing for Computer Power-Up, I've notice that if you have the "Run missed backup on startup" selected in TI and Drive Notify is installed to run at startup, The TI task gets started BEFORE drvnotify.exe runs. So you never get the Drive Notify message window to connect the USB Drive. Is there a way to control what tasks start when on power-up???

The contact link for the author of DrvNotify is here if you wish to attempt a contact

I am using the paid version and installed on XP Pro. My options are different than yours.
To answer your questions, I would need to install the free veson on a Win 7 machine. It will be a couple days before I can get that done but it will be on a 2014 version. Let me know if still interested.
Your question #3 is not a DrvNotify issue. That issue is there on 2012 even withou DrvNotify installed. There have been about 6 new releases since 2012 was completed. The new version has a delay option upon bootup. I recommend that this option to run at startup (if missed) be unchecked as it is more of a timing hassle than any real value.
Later Edit:
Sometimes TrueImage does not handle the command lines properly. I always put the command lines into a batch file and let TrueImage execute the batch file rather than execute the commands directly.
