e-mail notification fails with unkown network error
Hi,
I'm trying to get an e-mail notification from my backup job from a GMX account. I entered the SMTP Host, e-mail, login & username and selected SSL as encryption (exactly as in the mail program thunderbird I use) but acronis immediately fails with a "network error". When I try to search for the error in the knowledge base it finds nothing!
Is this a known bug ior is there any trick. For example do I somehave have to save it first before I can test the settings?
The interesting thing is, it really fails immediately when I click on "test" (in a fraction of a second). I cannot imagine that even the first step (which would probably be "connect to mail server") would fail so quick.
Of course I have enable the "TrueImage.exe" process as allowed in the Firewall. I even tried disabling the firewall completely with no effect. TrueImage just denies sending any mail. I als tried "TLS" and "TLS if available" with no success.
To me this looks like a bug in TI 2015? But how can I report bugs to the support? I guess for acronis, once your initial period has passed it's nearly impossible to report bugs. Not even microsoft makes it so hard to report any bug. I also wonder if they still fix bugs in TI 2015 but who will tell me if it works better in TI 2016.
Any help on this issue would be highly appreciated
