E000101F4 Acronis True Image has not found any hard drives.

Thread needs solution

Please, while using Acronis 8.0 on a Windows XP PC, after having successfully created a full drive backup of my primary drive (drive C), which of course contains my Windows XP OS and all programs and data that I use on my computer, and then having the very large image archive file being created be saved onto my second hard drive (drive D), I continue to experience the above error while subsequently trying to fully restore my Drive C by using the image archive previously successfully created and verified. Basically, I am able to successfully create as many verified backups of my Drive C (image archives) as I like, but cannot actually use any of these image archives without experiencing the above error during the setup process to restore Drive C. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have previously successfully been using Acronis 8.0 for about a half dozen years and have successfully restored Drive C multiple times previously using this exact same physical computer and the same OS and drive setup and cannot figure out what is wrong now since really nothing that I can see has changed from my previous successes. Thank you so much for your help and assistance! Thanks!

You could check your online account and see if your current build of 8 was the last build available..
You could also download a new iso if available from your acccount. This would enalbe you to create a new CD.
You could reinstall Version 8.

Last choice. Sign up for the Trial version of 2013.
A trial serial (64 characters) will be sent via email.
Register the trial serial into your account.
Copy serial from emal into your clipboard and do all posting of serial via the Control V paste.
Having registered, you would then be able to download the ISO file for 2013 trial from your account.
Burn the downloaded iso file onto a blank CD. (Burn image using such as free ImgBurn.)
Once you have the new trial Recovery CD, use it to recover your Version 8 images.
The only function possible on the trial CD is the Recover function.

Another possibility is to check your disk for disk errors on your system disk.
if connecting via usb, user a different connect on the back of the computer. No usb hubs, etc.
