E000101F4 Error Using TI10 v4942 with Lenovo IdeaPad Y550

Thread needs solution

As the title indicates I just purchased a new laptop with Windows Vista 64-bit OS and tried to use my TI10 Bootable Rescue Media disk and after attempting an Image Backup, came across the error code above.

Also worth noting is the absence of the laptop's internal drive after selecting backup. Only visible was my external drive directly connected the laptop.

Question:

Is this issue due to Windows Vista 64, the use of an older, possibly incompatible version of TI or a potential conflict with Lenovo's OneKey Recovery program (by CyberLink) installed backup program?

Please don't say "all the above"...

BTW, I tried using the old workaround from my HP Pavillion laptop: "quiet acpit=no apic" and still no luck.

Thanks

Hello hiptech,

Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/ | Acronis True Image 10.0 Home]]

Please download ISO image from your account under Registered Products and create Acronis bootable disc using third-party software. ISO image is based on different loader which has more embedded drivers, it will certainly solve the issue you experience. If not please let us know.

You can find more information on how to burn an ISO image to a CD at:

http://iso.snoekonline.com/iso.htm
http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm

I may also recommend you download free trial version of Acronis True Image Home 2009, create Acronis bootable disc and test it. If it works flawlessly you can then later purchase an upgrade just for $29.99.

Hello Dmitry,

I was trying to test the suggestion with a different pre-built ISO file from Acronis, the solution that you or your collegues offered a couple of times here in the forums.

But I cannot find the ISO file you mentioned: under my account I find "registered products", which is one single license of True Image Home 10 (german) and there are no options other than to download an update for True Image 10.

I already downloaded this build 4942, prepared a new rescue media but that solved nothing.

Please tell me where to find the ISO files with "the different loader" for registered users of True Image Home 10?

Hello Eric,

I've sent you the link via PM. Please post the results to this thread.

Thank you.

Dmitry?Alexander, I have the same problem, I think. Can I also get a copy of the "other" loader?

Thank you.

Hello Frank,

Thank you for using Acronis Products

I have sent you ISO image of Acronis bootable disc via PM, please let us know the results.

I too am having problems. A brand new Dell m4400, xp pro, ATI10 4940, booting from CD says no hard drives found. Boot into ATI safe mode and it finds the drive.

Will the ISO help me as well?

Hello Acronis customer,

Thank you for using Acronis Products

I have sent you ISO image of Acronis bootable disc via PM, please let us know the results.

Thank you for the ISO. Unfortunately, it also did not recognize any hard drives.

I have tried the trial 2010 and it recognized the drive. I am not being given an offer to 'upgrade' to 2010, only the full price. Is this true?

Thanks.

Hello Acronis customer,

Please be aware that you can upgrade from previous version of Acronis True Image Home to the latest one for upgrade price. Please visit this page to purchase the upgrade. Note that you will be prompted to enter old serial number during the installation of Acronis True Image Home 2010.

Thank you.

Hello, I found and downloaded the DiskDirectorSuite1.0_s_en.iso image wich is only 15.9MB. I burned it to a disk and tried it. I see the Kernal load and then nothing.

I don't get it I'm not sure how the 75MB suite was reduced to a 15.9 Linux image.

What am I missing?

Could you send me an ISO image that contains the whole DD10_2239 from which I can boot.

Thanks,
Jim
