Email notification no longer working

Thread needs solution

Acronis True Image Home 2011:

I had a new U-Verse router installed on Friday 1/29/16. My scheduled back-up later that night was successful. However, I did not receive email notification of that successful backup. Thinking that I may not have changed my new email password in Acronis, I entered my new password, sent a test mail notification, and the test email notification was successful.

On Friday 2/5 & Sat morning 2/6, both My Docs and System backups were run successfully, however, again, no email notifications of successful back-ups were sent. Upon sending a test mail message, it fails. My email account settings have not changed, and my Yahoo &  Outlook all work correctly.

Could it be something in that new route’s settings ? That is the only thing that has changed, but still perplexing that the test email was successful last week , but not successful last night and today.

Any help would be appreciated.

I didn't understand any of the upper part of the comment, but changing the server settings as it receommended just froze my ATI, and I had to close it.

Update: Following some of the 'Notifications' thread in 2016, the TLS with 587 seems to work on the 2016 version, but not on 2011 it just locks up during sending....
