Erasing Backups and creating new one ?
Is it a good idea to erase all backups (incremental) in order to create a brand new one ?

Hi Colin,
Thank you for answering.
I am a bit new at this (and french on top of that)... my backups are on a second HD (intern) and for space reason (It's using up, as far I see, 500Go/4000Gb), I'am wondering if I can erase all of them and start fresh ... ? As I take it from what you are saying I should do it using Acronis and not wipe them out straight from my HD ?
Is that correct ?
Thanks
Also what do you mean by "image at whim"

Bonjour wayne R,
Colin really means you have to use Acronis.

I have erased my backups through Acronis as you people recommended. Apparently, out of all the backups, (I had, for some reason, 3 "full" backups) there is one "full" (as opposed to "inc.") that's not manageable and is signaled by Acronis as damaged (listed in Win browser). On the Acronis side, the status says "no backups found". Does it mean that I can erase this damaged backup through the Win. browser while risking to encounter conflict problems with new backups ?
Thank you for your help. Good day
