Error: Acronis “Error Opening Archive File” “This is not the last volume of the backup archive”

Thread needs solution

Can someone help? I have a corrupted incremental. The corruption resulted from a defective memory chip. Can I do a partial recovery of files even though it is corrupted?

I use: Acronis True Image Home 2012 Plus Pack build 6131

Is there a way to open 2012-03-01(1)4.tib and do a partial recovery of files even though it is corrupted?

This is the only backup available to me. I need to get any files, if possible, off of the corrupted incremental 2012-03-01(1)4.tib.
File: 2012-03-01(1).tib ok backup
File: 2012-03-01(1)2.tib ok incremental
File: 2012-03-01(1)3.tib ok incremental
File: 2012-03-01(1)4.tib corrupted incremental

I’ve looked on the Acronis Forum for help. The closes to my error on the Acronis Forum is at:

The discussion there and recommended solutions did not help me.

If you cannot restore using:
- the in-ATI restore method in Windows, or
- the in-ATI restore on the Acronis recovery CD, or
- the double click on the TIB file in Windos, followed bytcopy/paste, or
- the image mount in WIndows,
... then you have run out of options.
