I attempted to make a backup of OS partition and got the following message:

Modification has failed: no task to modify.

Event code: 0x00090063

I ran a search by the above code but could not get any hit.

Edit: The problem has been resolved.

You can fix this by going, Start -> Run, (or vista / 7) Start -> Search box and type in services.msc
Find Acronis Scheduler 2 Service, right click it properties, change the 'startup type' to 'Automatic'
Click Start and try your backup / recovery again!

PS: above poster, tell everyone else how you resolved your issue, instead of just mentioning 'resolved'

Hello,
I have the same error 0x00090063 message, but the Acronis Scheduler 2 Service is definitely running.
I tried re-installing TIH2011 once, but that did not make a difference. Then I tried it as Administrator and it worked. Does this mean I have to run as Administrator during backups? In the past I would just run TI 6,7,8,9,10 or 11 from a normal user account without any problems.
