Error message: ?problem validating backup
I just setup Acronis to do monthly differential backups to a Network attached storage device (USB hard drive plugged into router). The computer is hard wired via ethernet to the router (Asus). I specified AES256 encryption with a password.
I received an email the backup was unsuccessful. I examined the log (attached) and it seems the backup was created fine, but Acronis could not validate the archive:
"Pending operation 3 started: 'Validate Backup Archive'
"Error occurred while reading the file: 0x7CEB2CDC9FB12051"
"The specified network name is no longer available"
"Terminated by user"
I did not terminate anything as it was 4am. Is it possible Acronis prompts for the encryption password to validate archive and aborts if nothing typed in? Is there any way to turn this off for unattended operation? Any other possibilities to explain why backup works fine but not validation?

I do have my destination set as \\RT-N66U\My Passport\SEN-Backup...
"RT-N66U" is the router folder under (NETWORK icon when Browsing for destination) and "My Passport" the folder on the USB - NAS hard drive.
I performed a manual validation and everything worked. Very odd the automated validation crashed despite successful backup. Hopefully a one time connectivity glitch.
It will be disappointing if this is a NAS-issue as the router (Asus RT-N66u) and USB drive (WD My Passport) are both brand new (<6month) and well reviewed.

It's not really an issue of age. Some routers get flooded and don't seem to handle the sustained high-data-transfer high-bandwidth demands of a True Image backup. There is discussion in other threads of certain models that often fail.
WD My Passport drives work fine. I have several that I use for True Image backups and Robocopy backups, very reliable.
