error msg E00040007 in Acronis® True Image Home® Version 11.0 (Build 8.105)

Thread needs solution

Trying to generate a backup archive (full image for system data), I get repeatedly the error msg E00040007 (see attached screenshot).
how can I avoid it?
in addition, I have the persisting problem, that XP shutdown stops with "XP wird heruntergefahren" without turning off the PC, and I suspect, that an Acronis routine stops full execution of shutdown.
both problems have been showing up since a few weeks (I am using TI since several years).

Hello Peter,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.
Most probably, the installation has been corrupted. Please do the following to fix the issue:
1) Please uninstall the program by Add or Remove Programs.
2) Reboot the computer and after that check if the computer is able to shutdown properly. This will help to understand, whether the issue is related to Acronis software or not.
3) Download the latest build of the program (#8105) and install it. You can learn more on how to download the latest build in this article
4) Download SnapAPI update, unpack the archive and run the SnapAPISetup.msi file. Go through the wizard screens and hit Proceed to install the update.
5) Reboot the computer and see if the issue remains.
If the issue still persists, please download Acronis Report utility available here and run it, create a report and attach the file to your next post. Please compress the Acronis Report output file into an archive (e.g. with WinZip) and attach to your message by browsing for the archive.

This would provide us with detailed information on the hard disk partition structure.

Please let us know the results, we should be sure that the program runs flawlessly. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other questions do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.
Thank you.
