Error occurred while opening file

I am getting the message "Error occurred while opening file" after attempting to back up. The destination harddrive is a drive on a network computer that can be accessed by the computer attempting to backup and has plenty of space available. I can navagate to the directory that has the files using windows explorer. The system succefully backed up 2 weeks ago.

Please advise

Sorry - discovered the problem ... note to others .. if you change your password on the network computer you must change the log-in settings on the back-up file to be able to access destination harddrive. There is not a message that tells you the problem is connection to the drive
