Error with UEFI Loader : Runtime Error 0x10d00e

Thread needs solution

Hello,

Ok, I'm trying to keep cool

I have Lenovo 13" Yoga 2 with 500Go HDD and Win10

I've bought a 500Go Crucial SSD with True Image 2015 OEM in order to clone my HDD. I didnt expect to get any problem with that famous software. Unfortunately, i get the UEFI loader problem.

I've read many and many topics and, of course, your advices. All of them give the same advice : connect my old HDD on USB and then start cloning. Ok.

BUT : The Lenovo HDD have a special connector and CAN IS NOT PLUGABLE WITH USB ADAPTATOR.

I've tried to disable UEFI with special shutdown in Win10, then entering the BIOS and switching UEFI option for Legacy Support, saving and rebooting. It still does not work. Same error.

The solution should be to create an bootable USB media (no CD/DVD in Lenovo Yoga 13"), but WinPe seems really too hard for me to install.

Why True Image 2015 dont give us a feature for create easily a bootable (linux) version of this software on an USB key ?

How to proceed ? Easily please.

XXX, welcome to these user forums.

Unfortunately, you have an OEM version of Acronis True Image 2015 which is at least 2 years old and which predates your Lenovo Yoga 2 computer with its modern hardware components.

The ATIH 2015 bootable Rescue Media standard version uses an older Linux kernel which again does not have the device drivers needed.  I would suspect that your Lenovo HDD with the special connector is a PCIe NVMe or M.2 disk drive for which you would need to create the Windows PE version of the Rescue Media to boot from.  This may also be needed if your Yoga 2 with its UEFI BIOS does not allow booting from the Linux media.

Please see post: 128231: [IMPORTANT] CLONING - How NOT to do this!!! for further guidance on doing cloning or taking the safer alternative of doing Backup and Restore instead of cloning, plus the reasons why.

For information, see also KB 2201: Support for OEM Versions of Acronis Products which applies to your Crucial branded OEM ATIH 2015 software.

Thanks for yout answer.

I've found a solution : There is an option in True Image 2015 to create an USB bootable linux OS with Acronis True Image preloaded.

It works initialy for restoring system, but you can also clone a disk, and it works.

Glad to hear you have found a solution for this question, thanks for the feedback.
