error writing to pem file
when I try to logon through the acronis 12 interface, I get an "error writing to pem file"
and the logon doesn't complete.
Solutions?

I have the same problem-running Windows 7 Ultimate. Error while writing PEM file. File path: "3624649\S-1-5-21-2144426280-8027348. ???

I don't know what the "3624649" represents, but the "S-1-5-21 etc" is a user folder, quite possibly you yourself. Open registry and under HKEY_USERS look for the S- entry that you've written above, click on Software and it it opens to display what looks like a list of all the software you've installed - then we know that something has stopped the PEM file being written under your user logon.
Check to see if the PEM files exist, they ought be found at;
C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\SyncCertificates\827820
If your user name and that S entry do match up, see what happens if you open 2012 with a right click to the exe file in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\TrueImageHome\TrueImageLauncher.exe and select 'Run as Administrator' see if that makes any difference.
Also are you using UAC? If so at what level?

There is no directory titled ...SyncCertificates\827820
I have the same problem even opening as administrator. What is UAC?

Well if you have no directory labelled SynCertificates that might be where your problem lies - the '827820' might be different on other systems.
UAC is the Microsoft User Account Control introduced in Vista and Windows 7.

Come to use this feature and find I get this error also. Using the latest build as at 20/02/21012 and its supposed to have been fixed in this build.
I have the SynCertyificates directory and the Pim fil matches the file number mentioned in the error but still wont work.
Can acronis fix this??

I have the same problem. I've been a registered user for years and my software says I have to activate and it won't let me. any suggestions?
