Errort 0x006403ED
I'm running True Image Home 2011 full version 14.0.5519 on a Windows 7 64-bit platform kernel 6.1.7600 true Itel platform. When I tried to recover one of my nonstop backups, I received an error number 0x006403ED. When I looked in the knowledgebase, there was no information on that error! Is there some way to tell what this means and how to fix it?

I have the same problem. The backup in question was made by the 2010 version and I am trying to open it in the 2011 program version.
Is the backup invalid and nothing can be recovered from it?

Hello: Similar to the others, am running True Image Home 2011 on a Windows 7 32 bit PC and tried to recover a .tib archive file from a DVD that was authored from True Image Home 2010. I tried to recover from the DVD directly as well as from a copy of the file on a local hard drive and received the event code error: 0x003403ED. What are my options?

Add me to the list. Windows 7, 64 bit. Crashed and tried to recover from backup but get this error.

What build(s) are being referred to here?
Does validation work?
Can the images be mounted or explored?

Same issue here. Win 7 Prof. x64 with build 14.0.5519. Can not be mounted or validated or explored.

Re: build 5519.
@Peter
Is this via the right click context selection or from within TIH 2011 itself?

right click. I just realized that all backups except the first one I tested for the last 4 months are fubar'ed ... The Full backup worked, all differentials afterwards not.
If I use the mount image program (from the menu under tools) it will ask me for the stupid credentials of our SBS2003 (I have the path open in another explorer Window and the credentials are the same as my default login - SO WHY DOES IT ALWAYS AKS?
No matter if I check or uncheck the use NT authentication the test will never authenticate.
If I do not provide credentials I get a message: This is not the last volume of the backup archive (produced with 2010). \\SERVER\Backup\xxxx_12_2_20101.tib yes it IS the last backup from today.
If I go through the main application, I can not authenticate (see also jpg attached which proofs that I have FULL RIGHTS), no matter if I use no or my own or another admin authentication. Same since version 2009 ...
Lastly - wether I copy the files local or I map a drive and access then from there, same result.
Why is this backup program always WRITE ONLY ????

1. Are these images that were made in a previous version of TI that have been imported? If so there is a known bug concerning right click context menu and running mainly validation from there.
2. Are the Images stored on the Server or have you somehow managed to install TIH on the Server? If the images are stored on the Server, two things spring to mind,
A) on the Pc with TIH on, go itno Control Panel and delete the Windows credentials listed. Restart TIH, point it to the Server, enter the credentials (this time it shoyuld only ask you once) and see if that fixes the problem.
B) I'm not sure if the Server itself might not be the problem here. With ABR10 products, you would install the acronis agent on the Server which will allow you to access the server and images. It might be that the SBS2003 is demanding the authorisation as it doesn't have an Acronis entry under the Backup group with backup permissions.
Have you tried UNC rather than mapping the drive?

Colin B,
thank you for your answer. Please read my previous post, there you see all answers:
1. HOME 2010, not imported into HOME 2011
2. as outlined it does not matter, even if I copy them locally I have the same issue
B) not ABR2010, so not applicable. We have ABR2010 but that works.
I tried UNC'ing with all formats incl. \\servername and \\serverIP
It seems like at least Home 2011 can not read Home 2010 DIFFERENTIAL backups (again - the FULL backup works).
Thanks
Peter

OK, Peter,
I got confused with your post #7 where you wrote build 5519 as this is TI 2011, so thought that was what you were referring to.
Has this ever worked?
I'm doubtful about the Home version being able to actually talk to a Server OS. I can give it a try when I get home this afternoon, as I have Server 2008R2 which might or might not help.

Same issue after after a crash of my Harddisk.
I can see the Backup Files with DD Suite in the ASZ, but TI can't recover / explore this backup. After copying the .tib Files to another Volume, i got the errors 0x006403ED+0x00040011+0x0000FFF0+0x80070002.
The ASZ Backups couldn't deleted. I had to delete the ASZ with DD and built a new secure zone with TI2011.

Blacky,
I can confirm - I reformatted the ASZ drive and then I got it working again.
Colin B,
sorry did not see your post #12. I am using this for years and yes it "somewhat" works except the usual authentication issue which you see all over the board.
