External HDD is full, despite current settings

Thread needs solution

I have a HDD-partition of 1,81 TB and I have configured True Image 2014 to have a backup size of 1600 GB.
Now I get these messages that the HDD is full.

Is there a way (and setting?) to delete the first set of backups whilst maintaining valid copies of my backups on this external HDD and remain under the 1600 GB limit?

And, most of all, how do I configure this backup set?

ATI will always do a new full backup before it erases an older chain or backup. So your need enough space for Maximum Backup Size + One Full Backup.

I have one file named 'My_partitions_full_b1_s1_v1' and after that all 'My_partitions_inc_b1_s_v1'.
No 'full' partition-name since.
Filesizes vary from 37 GB (My_partitions_inc_b1_s41_v1) to 92MB (My_partitions_inc_b1_s57_v1) and 1.04GB (My_partitions_inc_b1_s91_v1)

The used space on the source-drive which need to be backupped is 1.24TB
So how can I set up this backup set.

As you are running incrmental backups, you must maintain the sequential listing of backups.
If 91 is most recent, you could delete 91 only.
If you wanted to delete 85, you would delete 91, 90, 89, 88, 87, 86, 85 in that order.

If you wanted to only delete the larger sizes, you could not without losing all of your chain starting with the loss beginning from the lowest # large inc to the newest inc.
you must maintain the sequential listing of backups

Here is an illustration of the delete function.
If you used this program below and choose the first inc as to be deleted,
the program would delete all incrementals and keep the full.
It would also prompt you to confirm that you would be deleting 80 files.
Understand I am talking about 1 chain which is the inc's with the markings of "B1"

As MVP Pat L stated in post #1

"ATI will always do a new full backup before it erases an older chain or backup. So your need enough space for Maximum Backup Size + One Full Backup."

How much is the used space for what is included within the backup?

what was the size of the full backup?

Once you create the backup scheme, did you make any changes to change its original settings?
If yes, that might explain your disk full result.
I personally do not like the size limit setting and prefer to use the straight cleanup delete opion which is keep x number of recent version chains.
