Extreme Sluggishness in Windows 7

Thread needs solution

Just finished upgrading my system to Windows 7. After the upgrade I tried out my various software including True Image Home 2009. It was working, but ran very very slow (I'm not referring to when it was backing up, just the GUI itself). So, I figured maybe 2009 wasn't tuned well for Win 7, so I upgraded to True Image Home 2010. Just got that installed and running, and am having the same issue. The GUI is extremely slow to respond when scheduling/editing tasks, etc, and actually gets the "not responding" tag to show up for a time before eventually responding again. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm having the same problem. Just upgraded to Home 2010 after Windows 7 install and it says it will take 1 day, 2 hours to created a partition image for the backup. This is crazy.

Does Acronis actually read these boards?

Jon, what is the destination drive for the Image backup? Your situation is actually different to Thomas' as he hasn't gotten to the point of doing a backup. And what is the size of the used space on the drive that you're backing up.
