Failed converting Windows 7 System Image
My System (only the relevant parts):
Windows 7 Prof 64Bit
Asus Maximus III Formula (1156)
2x Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB
2x WD Caviar Blue 500GB
1x WD Caviar Green 2TB
Harddisk Setup:
2x WD Caviar Blue 500GB in RAID0.
+
2x Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB in RAID0
I set those two RAIDS up in the Bios of the onboard Intel RAID controller.
Then, to have one big logical storage, I put those two RAID0 drives together in windows . Again in RAID0. Btw I know this sounds crazy, thats why I changed it now.
To change the HDD setup, I took a complete System Image with all partitions (3: System, Games, Data). Then I changed the HDD setup and put all my four 500GB drives in one RAID0. When I tried to restore the Windows 7 Backup, it gave me an error, that no drive would be available to restore the backup to. I thought that this was because of the "hardware change" or something. So I converted the Windows Image with Acronis on another PC.
Now the thing is, that after the conversion I cant see my drive C:\ in the Details Option of the generated tib file. I just see the games and Data partition. But in the details of the Windows Backup I can see the Data and the Games Partition AND a "logical drive" which is about 951GB big. My C:\ drive however was only about 120GB.
I think that Acronis just can't see drive C:\ because I remember that it was displayed somehow in a different color than the other partitions.
Is there anything I can do to restore my Data? Please help.Thx in advance.

Out of the box, ATI doesn't support software RAID. So it is possible that the conversion didn't handle the software RAID information correctly.
I don't know of simple way of undoing a RAID 0. Using Universal Restore might help, but the process is not for the faint of heart.
You might be better off reinstalling everything, except the content, that you can backup without problems.
