Failed to create volume snapshot
I have already created a backup of my C drive. I had once also done my E drive (other partition of same hdd for C:).
When creating differential backup, I get the following error message almost immediately after starting.
Details: Operation with partition 'E:' was terminated.
Details:
Failed to create volume snapshot. (0x70021)
Tag = 0xA5695862AAF8E690
Failed to obtain the snapshot state. (0x10C44A)
Tag = 0x14181C22EF45AF5E
Reached the end of the file (0xFFF0)
code = 80070026)
Tag = 0xBD28FDBD64EDB8B9
More information can be found at: http://kb.acronis.com/errorcode/
Event code: 0x000101F6
I have made sure that MS Volume Shadow Copy is running. Also I have ran chkdsk upon boot up on E drive with no issues.
I am running Acronis True Image 2010 Build 7046. Attached is a report of my system.

Hello Dan and Bin!
Bin, thank you for valuable assistance.
Dan, welcome to our Forum! Thank you for finding time to join us and report about the issue.
There can be several reasons for the issue, so let's try the following to address all possible causes and resolve or at least localze the issue.
The problem is related to snapshot creation. This is either the glitch of SnapAPI drivers (so I will send you an update via PM in a minute) or with accessing the drive. In order to make sure that snapshot can be created correctly, please:
- Go to Start -> Run -> cmd and issue the command
chkdsk /r /f
and reboot the machine - Empty Temp folder (Start -> Run -> %Temp%)
- Decrease the size of snapshot temp file
Should the issue persist, please gather the following information:
- SnapAPI log (instructions will be sent via PM alongside with the link for update)
- Acronis Info from machine in question
After that please kindly contact support directly with the information attached. Keep in mind that should there be any procrastination with the reply, you can always specify us the case number. We will do our best to speed up the process.
Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!
Thank you!

Was this issue ever resolved? If so how? I am experiencing the exact same error on build 7046 since I've installed a SSD.
Thanks
Brian
