"Failed to read data from the hard disk drive" (0x70003)

Thread needs solution

Hi all,

I have a problem with Acronis True Image Enterprise Server (Version 9.1).

There is one backup job scheduled for monday till friday. On sunday it makes a full backup, and then it makes incrementals. Everything is going just fine, except for monday.

For some reason, he can't backup on monday and i get the following error:
"Failed to read data from the hard disk drive. |A Possible reason might be bad sectors on the hard disk drive"

"Operation with partition "C:" was terminated. |Details: |Read error (0x70003)| Tag = 0x0| (0x1003EB)| Tag = 0x14181C22EF45AC27.

I know there aren't any bad sectors, or difficulty's with the disk, since it runs perfectly on the other days.

I hope anyone could help me with this problem.

Thank you for using Acronis Products

First of all please make sure that you are using the latest build of the program. Check it in Help -> About. You can always download the latest build of the program from your account under Registered Products.

If the issue persists please check the disks for errors:

- Go to the Command Prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd)

- Enter the command: "chkdsk DISK: /r" (where DISK is the partition letter you need to check) for every partition that is visible in My Computer. Please note, that checking the C: drive may require you to reboot the machine.
