Failure to Create Backup

Thread needs solution

While attempting to create a backup, I received error statement, #1722; "The RPC server is unavailable."

My OS is Windows7

Any help would be appreciated.

Check the "Services" module.
You should see an entry labelled Remote Control Procedure which should be set to automatic and running.

If you get this regularly, I would restart the TrueImage install program from the downloaded file and after the re-install begins, check mark the Recover option.

Would you please expand on your comments for me. Where/how do I locate the "Services" module? Can I just re-install my original True Image software CD, and if so, should I delete the existing program prior to re-installation?

What version of TrueImage is being discussed?

If using a retail CD, it is probably not the most current. Once you register your serial number, you have access to any improvements/updates made in the same version.

You can use the installation to overlay the existing installation with a fresh copy.
Or, you can also do an uninstall first before you do anther install.

To check the services
Click STart
RIGHT click on MYComputer
Choose Manage
Choose Service & application
Choose Services
Check the alphabetical lsiting for
Remote Procedure Call which should have a setting of started and automatic.

Do a google search
how to start a rpc service.
