File name of archive

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I've recently upgraded from True Image Home 2012 to True Image 2013.

Is there any way to specify the filename of the backup? I can't find where this is in the new version.

Reason I ask is that I have a nightly file backup which runs at 4am and backs up My Documents etc from my C: drive to my D: drive, then a post processing batch file which copies the backup from my D: drive to an external hard drive. This is MUCH faster than backing up directly onto the external hard drive.

The batch file simply says copy d:\Backup.tlb e:\

However, now it's failing because the archive created by True Image 2013 is called something like Backup_s1_v1_t1.tlb or something similar.

How can I configure it to create Backup.tlb as before?

Thanks,

Mark

Mark,

There is no way of changing the new backup archive naming, the (s)lice,(v)olume(f,i,d) will always appear.

I think the only way around it is to change your batch file to perhaps something like - copy d:\Backup*.tib e:\ . Other than that you'd have to start writing a script which parses the file name and that gets messy.
