Files are not present after a restore operation

I have True Image 11 Home with the latest support update. When I restore files from an external hard drive, the program acts like it does it's job. However, when complete, there are no restored files on my hard drive. (Not only are they not where I told then to go to, a Windows Search finds no trace of them.)

I have tried restoring to the original locations, and I hve tried restoring to new locations.

Cause????
