FTP connection test to NAS ProFTPd fails

Thread needs solution

Hallo,

I try to backup to a FTP destination of my NAS StorCenter with IP address 192.168.2.106, but only with Acronis True Image Home 2012 FTP connection test fails, also by use of name "ix2-200-dc386f". With other FTP programs, like windows console ftp or in windows explorer in address bar with ftp://192.168.2.106 or FileZille Client I got FTP access successfully.

I did exchange the NAS some days ago with a new NAS some model and stored the settings from the old NAS to the new NAS (transfer of XML configuration file). Only MAC-address was left in original value to avoid two devices with same MAC address. With old NAS FTP connection test did run with ATI2012 (ftp://192.168.2.102). The exchanges NAS so has a new MAC address, a new IP address 192.168.2.106, but the same device name "ix2-200-dc386f".

I use windows 7 home premium 64 Bit. With Acronis True Image 2012 bootable media it works also, but neither in windows 7 nor in windows vista (virtual machine) on same host computer not, only in windows xp (virtual machine) with true image home 2010 I get access to NAS FTP server (there is ProFTPd running which was tested by Acronis).

What did True Image make other with FTP than all other programs?

I also tried to delete the arp cache "netsh interface ip delete arpcache" on windows 7, I reset the ip interface with "netsh int ip reset", restore the factory settings on my router, but nothing helps. At last I changed the dynamic IP address of the NAS from 192.168.2.106 to a static IP address 192.1682.99, but this also don't help: FTP connection test failed with TI 2012 to ftp://192.168.2.99 or ftp://ix2-200-dc386f. Other ftp destinations (my router, my linux computer, acronis ftp server) I can reach with TI 2012. Also an uninstall of norton internet security 2012 don't help in this case.

Last test I made on my second computer running windows xp sp3 and true image home 2010. There FTP connection test to NAS works succesfully.

Has anybody an idea how to solve this issue on windows 7?
