Full disk image 3 times a week

Thread needs solution

I have upgraded to True Image Home 2011, Build 5519 from True Image Home 2010. When I had TI 2010 I used to backup a full disk image Mon,Wed & Fri. Each backup was MyBackup, except Acronis would append the file to MyBackup (2) and (3) etc. In version 2011, I can't figure out how to do that? The upgrade didn't save settings. I am getting the first one and that is all. Thanks for the help.

Here are some helpful links plus an attachment showing features. The 2nd attachment shows one sample setting of backup retention but you will have to modify with your own preferences. How many do you want to keep after the first week, etc?

GroverH thanks so much for replying to my post...you obviously didn't have that many references at the tip of your tongue, so I appreciate the time as well. I usually go to my external drive and manually delete whenever I think of it. I keep at least two files, maybe three. The whole purpose of full backups is that it is much easier than incremental. I load up Acronis and go to my external and sit back and wait. Increments tend to confuse me and I have enough on my plate to avoid that. I haven't checked out your references yet but surely I'll find enough to be dangerous! Thanks again.

Note the sample full backup scheme configuration attachment below. It is set to keep the original backup plus 3 additional backups. I would suggest that you use this to control your number of backups so it is automatic and done by the program rather than manual deletion. Should you want to retain more or less backups, you can adust the number "3" to a number of your choosing.

Good luck and welcome to the forum. Come back for additional help should you feel the need.
