Going from 80 gig HDD to 500 gig HDD

Thread needs solution

I currently have an 80 gig HDD with data and a service partition on it. I would like to know how to copy this 80 gig HDD onto a 500 gig HDD. I have windows xp sp3. Thank you.

Not being funny.. but seriously - you should try reading the manual..
Or read some guides (look to the left)...

Here's what happened. I have an 80 gig HDD which is nearly full. I bought a 500 gig HDD. I created an image of the 80 gig drive, created rescue media and proceeded to remove the old 80 gig HDD and install the 500 gig HDD. I restored from the image and now I have a C drive with 80 gigs of room and an unallocated partition with the rest of the drive. I've tried to remove the partition but can't seem to do it. I can re-install the old drive and run the back up again if I understand how to do it in such a way where I don't end up with a partition once I'm done. I want my 500 gig HDD to have the 80 gigs of data on it, with NO partitions. Any ideas? Thank you.

You can use the minitool partition wizard to accomplish your task http://partitionwizard.com/free-partition-manager.html with out putting the 80G drive back in. Read the link above so in the future you will be able to it correctly.
