Which software version (and build number) of True Image do you have?
Have you already installed it on the 160 gig drive?
Did you make the Bootable Rescue CD?
Is this a laptop or desktop system?
The Sticky at the top by GroverH in the True Image Home section will provide many answers.

Having a problem too.
Acronis True Image Home 10 plus pack.
I have a CentOs 5.2 box with a 320 gb hard drive.
Used portion of the 320 drive that I imaged is only about 40gb.
I can back up an image and restore to the same size hard drive.
However, when I drive to restore to an 80gb hard drive, I am unable to select the drive to restore the image.
(The 80gb drive is active when I try to restore files/folders.)
When I look at my image I see two small partitions including one for the MBR and track 0.
But the partition containing everything else says the size is 290+ gb. This is not the used space, but apparently acronis thinks it is, so I cannot transfer my image to the 80gb drive.
I do not recall this problem with echo workstation.
Help pls.

edit: looks like for linux lvm partitions, the unused space is information not automatically retained, so you wind up needing to restore the entire 290+gb.
Found instructions how one can actually prepare it to work as desired above, but you have to manually configure the backup and restore to use this option.

It would be nice to see a choice between these two options at backup and restore of the disc image gui. It is only a couple lines at the command prompt.
